Glowberry Prime - Aldi

Picked this up at Aldi, because it was Halloween-y and the packaging glows in the dark, but i'm not 100% sure what it is.

Gathered purely through pop-culture-osmosis, I believe PRIME is the drink made by Logan Paul, but from what I understood, I thought these were all energy drinks that they contained a boatload of caffeine. This one says "hydration drink," and looks Gatorade-like, so that must not be the case. Reading the package, it contains 10% coconut water (which I don't normally vibe with), and it's caffeine free. So I guess they also make sports drinks now? With Mr. Beast making his version of Lunchables, kids today can have a full Youtuber-branded lunch experience. That's nuts.

I'm a BIG YouTube consumer. I have the paid subscription for the ad-free version, use YouTube Music and frequently watch (and rewatch) massive video essays on topics ranging from the misconception of Yoko Ono's role in the Beatles to iCarly breakdowns. I'm on YouTube every single day, BUT I do not enjoy the Paul brothers, or their content.

That said, I decided to try this because it was discounted and Halloween themed. Not because of who made it. So, is this actually any good?

Disgusting Sleepover Rejects

No one, ever, expected these to taste good. That's why they're a novelty. I bought these for a fun sleepover with my little cousins, because trying gross things together is 7fun. I don't know how to explain it, but it just is.

As you can see, not too long after opening, the candy inside compressed into a puck. The compressed form makes it look like we consumed a lot, but I was actually the only one brave enough to give these a try. (After we gave them a smell.)

So it's not a question of "if" these are bad, the question is "how bad are they?"

Cookie Cola - Oreo x Coca-Cola (Cookies and Soda)

Another Coke Creations flavor that is only available in Zero Sugar. Boo. I seem to be in the minority of people who can't consume alternative sugars. Even so, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to give this a try. At least they're mini cans.

Prebiotic Party - Poppi vs. Aldi vs. Olipop

I have a few days off work, so even though that Ollipop I tried before may or may not have caused me multiple days of stomach pain, I wanted to try the other flavors of Prebiotic sodas I already had in my fridge so I can toss the cans in the recycling.

Trash Night Trio

 TRASH NIGHT!

Another well intentioned week where I -meant- to review a lot of food products but never found the time to sit down and write everything up.

Tomorrow is trash night, and in a effort to clear out some junk I have lying around, here's a lighting round with some candid pics and my thoughts.

Go Sports! - Limited Time Nerd Gummy Cluster Flavors

Unlike Reese's and Skittles, Nerds knows what they're doing. Their new products, like Nerds Rope and Gummy Clusters, have been bangers.

For a while we only had Rainbow, followed by Berry, with some seasonal offerings here and there, but the seasonal stuff used their preexisting flavors, going for a color-theme, not a specialty seasonal flavor.

Their success seems to stem from having such a wide array of flavors already in production. We already know all their flavors, from their iconic Rainbow boxes, so they don't have to invent anything new. Just choose a different combination of their crunchy candy flavors, add a chewy gummy core, and call it a day.

I've always liked Nerds Gummy Clusters, but I preferred the OG 2-flavor aquarium-gravel I grew up with because it allowed me to eat one flavor at a time OR combine them if I wanted to. With Clusters being combined already, my OCD snacking ways are thrown for a loop.

But when I saw that my OG box combo, Grape x Strawberry, was coming out as a limited edition cluster flavor, I had to get it. The display they were in had a Berry Punch version as well, and like the Reese's Cups, I figured, why not?

Two More Attempts at Perfecting Perfection

Another attempt to improve upon perfection.

While I'm a big fan of the Reese's cups with Reese's Pieces inside of them, I haven't liked or repurchased any of the other versions I've reviewed on the blog. I found them to be novel, but their execution managed to make Reese's worse, not better. But I'm all for giving new things a chance, so today I have Chocolate Lava and Caramel Big Cups.

Skittle Party! - 3 Different Skittle Products

Can you improve upon Skittles? Apparently they think so!

I have three different Skittles themed products, each one has the same OG flavor line-up, but they're in a new format: mini, jellybeans, and chewing gum. Can any of these surpass my love for the original version? Are they even necessary? We'll see what I think...
